Choosing The Perfect Baby Bed

With so many types of cribs available on the market these days, choosing the right one for your baby can be tricky. You can find a crib in almost any shape, color and style that you want; from rectangular shaped cribs to convertible ones, the choice is yours. However, below are some of the cribs which are not exactly common, but they do the job all the same.

Canopy Cribs

As the name suggest, these cribs feature a canopy top. One advantage of a canopy top is that it makes the crib even more adorable. You can opt for a crib that has a standard canopy top or one that has a frame. As you go about shopping for a canopy crib, you will notice that most of the cribs have lace fabrics.

A baby can easily get stuck in such fabrics, so you have to make certain that you avoid that. It is also recommended that you take out the canopy when your baby reaches 4 months because as the baby gets older and more adventurous, he might make use of the canopy to get out of the crib and fall.

Round Cribs

Round baby beds are fast becoming popular. As the name suggest, they have a round shape which makes them very fashionable. If your baby nursery does not have a lot of space, this is the perfect crib for you. In terms of size, these cribs often measure 46 inches. There is also a choice for a canopy if you fancy one. The crib also comes in many different finishes. Most of the cribs are designed with a specific theme in mind; for instance, princesses or butterflies. The only drawback associated with this type of crib is the fact that you cannot convert it into a toddler bed. Therefore, your toddler will eventually outgrow the crib.
